At Oarhaus, my goal is to make the drafting and rendering process as seamless and efficient as possible. Whether you’re working on a new build, a renovation, or a detailed design project, I provide the tools and structure to help bring your vision to life. Below, I’ve outlined exactly how we’ll work together—from our first call to the moment your final files are ready.

DISCOVER

1

Every project starts with a 45-minute discovery call to discuss your needs, scope, and expectations. During this call, we’ll cover:

  • The type of project you’re working on (AutoCAD drafting, renderings, or both).

  • What information I’ll need from you to get started.

  • My pricing structure and general turnaround times.

  • Any questions you may have about the process.

If we’re a good fit, I’ll send over the contract and project details so we can move forward!

START

2

Before work begins, you’ll need to:
✔ Sign the contract to confirm your project.
✔ Pay the $200 project start fee for AutoAD drafting or 50% deposit for renderings, which covers my initial consultation and time spent before drafting begins.

This step secures your spot in my schedule and ensures we are aligned before moving forward.

DETIALS

3

Once your project is confirmed, I’ll create a Google Drive folder specifically for your project. This will be the central hub for all files, plans, and feedback.

You’ll receive access to five key folders:

  1. Design Files – Includes your Google Spreadsheet, where you’ll input all necessary product and specification details.

  2. Plans – Upload your existing plans and elevations here. You’ll also find my updated drafts in this folder.

  3. New Plans – This is where I’ll save any newly created plans throughout the project.

  4. Site Photos – A dedicated space for all relevant site photos.

  5. Renderings – If renderings are part of your project, this is where you’ll find them.

Additionally, your signed contract and project checklist will be stored in a dedicated Contract & Project Scope folder.

Important: Before we schedule the design kick-off meeting, all required documents must be uploaded to Google Drive, and the Google Spreadsheet must be completed. Missing information will delay the start of the project.

KICK-OFF

4

Once all files are uploaded, we’ll schedule a Design Kick-Off Meeting to:
✔ Review your provided information.
✔ Discuss any missing details or clarify specifics.
✔ Set expectations for the project timeline.

INFO

5

After our meeting, I’ll begin working on your project based on the finalized information provided. All projects start with two floor plans or furniture plans. Once the client has finalized the floor plan or furniture plan we will move into elevations or renderings based on each project’s needs.

For AutoCAD Drafting:

I require:

  • Existing Photos – Clear images of the space.

  • Floor Plan (DWG, PDF, or Hand-Drafted with Measurements) – Including all relevant dimensions (walls, doors, windows, ceiling heights, and trim details).

  • New Layout Sketches – Even rough sketches help me understand your vision.

  • Elevations (If Needed) – If you have elevation sketches, include them.

  • Appliance & Cabinetry Details – Specs and selections should be uploaded to the Google Spreadsheet.

For Renderings:

  • All measurements and layouts must be finalized before rendering begins.

  • Furniture plans must be to scale. If you don’t have one, I can create it, but additional time will be required.

  • Detailed specifications (finishes, colors, materials, lighting, hardware, etc.) must be uploaded before rendering starts.

  • Links to all products and selections must be included in the Google Spreadsheet. Even for conceptual projects, I need product references.

REVIEW

6

Once the first draft is ready, you’ll receive an email notification that your files have been uploaded to Google Drive. Here’s how to handle feedback:
Redlines must be marked directly on the floor plans, elevations, or renderings. (Typed emails listing corrections will not be accepted to avoid misinterpretation.)
Upload corrected files back into the Google Drive folder under the designated "New Plans" folder.

This ensures that everything is tracked properly and no details get lost in email threads.

DELIVERY

7

I’ll make any necessary revisions based on your feedback and upload the final documents to Google Drive for your use. Once the project is complete, you’ll receive an email letting you know that everything is ready for download.

What I Do & Don’t Do

I’m here to draft and render your designs—not to research products, troubleshoot IT issues, or track down missing details. If something is unclear or missing, I’ll notify you, but I won’t move forward until I have everything I need.
